Kshitij '11 at IIT Kharagpur 28th Jan to the 31st Jan 2011

The annual techno management festival of IIT Kharagpur, Kshitij, aims at pushing the current levels of technical knowhow to limits of excellence by bringing together the best of the nation in all fields in this fest.

With over 40 events classified in 7 different genres, it definitely proves itself as an ideal place to be. And with thousands of participants gathering at a common place the exchange of information and knowledge through interaction is catalysed to skyrocketing extents. Kshitij 2010 was one more feather on the hat of this legacy. With personalities like the Nobel Laureate Sir Anthony James Leggett, the world renowned storm chaser George Kourounis, Oscar winning film maker Shekhar Kapur, the invisible man Chris Phillips and Vice President of IBM Indian software lab P Gopalakrishnan coming down themselves to share their views one on one with the youth of the nation, nothing could have been better. The exhibitions by DRDO on life size models of India's current missile technologies, the solar car and the fog screen kept the audiences enthralled. The sand animation and the magic show by Nigel Mead sent jaws dropping. However, the mainstay of Kshitij is its string of events in the fields of technology and management. With about 30 technical events and 15 managerial ones packed up in a span of 4 days, students go berserk in trying to participate in all of their favourite events.
